Reach’24 Sustainability and the Arts Festival in Belfast
The Reach’24 Sustainability and the Arts Festival was hosted by Queen’s University Belfast in partnership with SDSN Ireland on 18-20 April. This event included arts practitioners, educators and students from Cork, Cavan, Waterford, Galway, Dublin, Derry, UK and USA. A Keynote Presentation was delivered by Alison Tickell Director of the London based Julie’s Bicycle.
SDSN Roundtable ‘A Creative Catalyst to Inspire Change’ featured dialogue with Maria Kirrane, Sara Lynch, David Donoghue and John Barimo on challenges and opportunities for on SDG implementation and the role of universities as agents of change. Reach’24 was directed by Professor Michael Alcorn, Associate Pro-Vice-Chancellor at Queen’s and SDSN Ireland Deputy Co-Chair who said: “As a global institution, Queen’s has an important role to play in making a positive impact on our environment”.
